I just want to say that no matter how many years pass us by, don’t ever feel that Brian is forgotten by the rest of us. Each year that passes since that horrible day in 2001, makes it even more impossible to forget all of those who lost their lives the way they did. It should never have happened and I wish I could do something about it. There is no reason you or the rest of the families should be going through this pain and I’m so, so sorry for you. Please know that the pain is alive inside us all, for you, your loved one and our country! All of my love and tears to you!

  12. Rebeca says:

  13. Jeri Thompson says:

I have just this day found the motivation to look up the person whose name appears on a small American flag I received at a memorial ceremony on September 11, 2002. I pinned the flag to the bulletin board next to my desk that day and that’s where it has stayed until today. I was straightening up the bulletin board when I came across the flag…and the name.I’m glad that I found out more about Brian, and that I got to see hispicture. I grieve for the joys and sorrows the rest of his life wouldhave brought, for that is life…joy and sorrow. I too love animals and music, but I think that’s about all Brian and I would have had in common. I guess I do have something in common with you, his family, because now I miss him too.Thank you for the wonderful website,

  14. Tammy says:

  17. Dennis Zgaljardic says:

I attended St. Robert’s grammar school with Brian for 8 years. He was a very good hearted and approachable kind of guy. He never passed judgment. He would befriend anyone. I remember liking him being a tall guy like myself. This way I did not stick out like a sore thumb. God Bless you Brian.

  18. John Carfagno says:

Brian trained me my first few weeks of work at TDWaterhouse. He was always the first to lend a kind hand. My heart and prayers go out to the Cachia family. May Brian rest in peace.

  19. Jennifer Swearingen says:

I was one of those lucky enough to work with Brian at TD Waterhouse. Even though we never met in person, he was always helpful, sweet and willing to lend a hand. I’ll never forget the good times and laughs we shared while working at issues over the phone. My heart and prayers go out to the entire Cachia family.

  20. Christine says:

My family is so heartily sorry for your loss two years ago. We are sorry evil took your beloved son from you. We have sons, and cannot imagine the agony that must bear down on you daily. God bless and stay faithful. America wears your pain and offers its support as we all struggle to heal.

  21. Charlie says:

I worked with Brian when I was at TD Waterhouse. We instantly became friends once we realized we were both computer geeks AND musicians. Brian and his family will forever be in my thoughts and prayers.

  22. I remember Brian, I use to come to the video store all the time. He was a great guy. We use to talk music and once jammed together, and I remember when he bought that white guitar and put the skull sticker on it so it would look like Duff’s from guns n roses. Although after his family’s video store closed down we lost touch I bumped into him once on the express bus to wall street and we caught up and talked music again and also talked computers since I am also in that industry(I’m a programmer). I think about him every year and it kills me to think of what his parents must go through every year. I’m thinking of ya Brian..I hope where ever you are you are at peace…

  23. Julian Giordano A.K.A Bruce Rones says:

  27. Francesco Cachia says:

I have just finished reading the timesofmalta online version about Brian’s fate on 9/11. It has already been 10 years and I knew that there was one of Maltese descent but only today I read that his grandfather Joseph is orignally from Zabbar and that he left Malta in 1944. I am also a Cachia and wonder if we are somehow related.

This weekend in Zabbar we celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Graces and I felt that a prayer for his soul would be very appropriate and that Our Lady will help Brian’s family overcome this sad episode in their lives. RIP.

  28. Eddie says:

    Miss you buddy

  29. Ruth Muscat says:

    Dear Family Cachia,
I have just read an article about Brian and how he was at the Towers by sheer coincidence. What a shame that such a life was taken. But I believe he went to a better world, and I hope that God has granted you consolation and resignation.
YOu have an angel in heavens.

  30. this is news to me, very bad, horrible news, we, or at least, myself, knew nothing that among, the victims, was a maltese, boy.My heart goes out with all his dear ones, and of course all the others, but seeing, one of your people, going like this, is really sad. May the Great Lord, have mercy on his soul, and may he bestow, on all his loved ones, peace, acceptance, and a firm belief, that one day, they will all see him, in another dimension.
Maybe, it would not be appropriate, or fitting, but may He also fill their hearts with forgivness, towards those, who most ruthlessly, plucked the lives of all those people.
Dear Lord, may Brian, rest in peace.

Maybe the saying ”only the good die young” is very relevant.
An intelligent, vibrant, young and loving person who had the world at his feet was put to eternal rest before his time was up. May you rest in peace Brian and may God give your family, relatives and friends the strength to cope with this tragedy, no matter how many years go by.

  54. Kathy & Jerry Prelewitz says:

Brian: Until tonight, we had no idea who you were. We visited the “Healing Field” in our area (Grand Rapids, MI) and chose a flag with your inscription. It told about your love for your grandmother (Oma) and how you were always going to take care of her. It touched my heart. They were selling flags for $75.00 to support our local first responders. Came home to research and found this wonderful tribute to you. God Bless your family during this ten year anniversary of your death. We will fly this flag every year on 9/ll in your honor.
